Job summary

IVID TEK INC in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Senior Python Developer with 10+ years of experience to design, build, and scale backend services. You will work on APIs, microservices, and data models, leveraging PostgreSQL/MySQL, cloud platforms, and modern dev practices.

You’ll collaborate across teams, implement CI/CD pipelines, and mentor junior engineers in an Agile environment. Onsite/hybrid presence in Phoenix, with a focus on robust, maintainable code.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software development experience with strong Python expertise.
• Extensive experience with Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Hands-on experience developing and integrating REST APIs and microservices.
• Strong knowledge of OOP, design patterns, and data structures.
• Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL/Oracle).
• NoSQL databases experience (MongoDB/DynamoDB) is a plus.
• Strong experience with Git and software development practices.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Cloud platforms knowledge (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Docker and Kubernetes experience is highly desirable.
• Experience with unit testing (PyTest or unittest).
• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Python applications and backend services.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Work with database technologies to design efficient queries and data models.
• Participate in architecture and technical design discussions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.
• Develop automated unit and integration tests.
• Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deployment.
