Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an experienced Python Backend Developer to design, build, and deploy scalable AI-powered applications using RAG, LLMs, and agentic AI frameworks. You will develop Python backend services, REST APIs, and microservices, and integrate with enterprise systems and cloud services.

The role emphasizes architecture ownership, collaboration in a distributed team, and overlapping US working hours.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional Python backend development experience.
• Strong API, microservices, asynchronous, and distributed backend design.
• Hands-on production-grade RAG applications experience.
• Deep understanding of embeddings, chunking, semantic search, vector indexing, retrieval and reranking.
• Hands-on with AI agents and multi-step LLM workflows.
• Experience with agentic AI frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen.
• Experience integrating LLMs via OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Gemini or open-source APIs.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Experience with API, database, data pipelines and enterprise systems integration.
• Security, monitoring, logging, tracing, observability for production services.
• Containerized deployments with Docker; cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Strong communication and collaboration in distributed teams.
• Availability for overlap with US working hours.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end scalable RAG architecture and AI chatbot.
• Develop Python backend services, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Build document ingestion, chunking, embedding, indexing, retrieval, and reranking pipelines.
• Implement vector search solutions and autonomous AI agents.
• Develop multi-step AI workflows using LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen.
• Integrate with APIs, databases, enterprise systems and external tools.
• Ensure asynchronous high-performance services for concurrent workloads.
• Establish logging, monitoring, security, and error-handling standards.
• Containerize and deploy services using Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and milestones.
