Job summary

7Th Sky Tech is seeking a seasoned Python Developer to join our Charlotte engineering team. You will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs using Python frameworks, with strong database integration and modern DevOps practices.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of Python experience, hands-on API development, and a collaborative onsite work style in Charlotte, NC. Local candidates or relocation candidates are welcome for this full-time, direct-hire role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Hands-on Python development with backend API focus.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Strong SQL and database development experience.
• Experience with Git-based workflows.
• Familiarity with unit/integration testing frameworks.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and SDLC.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Must be local to Charlotte, NC or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Python backend services.
• Build REST APIs and microservices using Django/Flask/FastAPI.
• Work with relational databases like PostgreSQL/MySQL/SQL Server.
• Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, and other developers onsite.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and source control practices.
• Ensure security, reliability, and performance of applications.
• Participate in code reviews and agile ceremonies.
