Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Python Developer to design, build and support scalable backend services, APIs and cloud-native apps. You will work with engineering leaders, product teams and clients to deliver secure software solutions, in an onsite Jersey City setting.

Role requires 8+ years Python, microservices, and cloud experience, with FastAPI/Flask/Django, REST/GraphQL/gRPC, and AWS/Azure/GCP. Strong CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes and database skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of hands-on Python development.
• 4+ years designing microservices and distributed systems.
• Experience with FastAPI, Flask or Django.
• Experience building REST APIs.
• Cloud-native development on AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Docker, Kubernetes, Git, CI/CD and Agile/Scrum.
• Relational and NoSQL databases: PostgreSQL/MySQL/MongoDB.
