Job summary

Rose International is seeking a senior backend engineer in the Technology team to design, build, and scale Python-based services and APIs. You will develop data processing systems and RESTful endpoints supporting enterprise applications and analytics in a hybrid, global setting.

You will apply OOP principles, drive testing and deployment standards, and contribute to a microservices ecosystem while leveraging evolving GenAI and LLM capabilities to solve complex business problems.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of backend development with Python.
• Strong proficiency in Python and libraries (NumPy, Pandas).
• Experience building REST APIs and working with microservices or SOA.
• Experience with data processing/ETL pipelines or data engineering concepts.
• Familiarity with LLMs and GenAI technologies.
• Understanding of distributed systems and backend integration patterns.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement scalable backend systems using Python, focusing on microservices and API-driven architecture.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services for data ingestion, processing, and integration.
• Develop data processing pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
• Collaborate with global Technology teams across multiple time zones in a hybrid environment.
• Apply OOP principles and backend engineering best practices.
• Resolve complex technical challenges through analysis of system flows and processes.
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, performance, and scalability requirements.
• Establish and follow coding, testing, debugging, and deployment standards in backend environments.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, and analysis to support business use cases.
• Implement unit testing and TDD to ensure reliability and maintainability of backend services.
• Contribute to the microservices ecosystem and inter-service communications.
• Support integration of LLMs and GenAI capabilities into backend systems and workflows.
• Mentor junior developers and promote strong engineering standards.
• Identify and manage risks, ensuring regulatory compliance and governance.
