Job summary

Geak Minds is seeking a Python Developer Architect to design, build, and scale backend systems and data-driven services in a fast-paced environment. You will craft APIs with FastAPI, leverage pandas/polars/Numpy for data processing, and implement robust asynchronous task scheduling.

The role demands 6–8 years of Python experience, strong SQL, and hands-on AWS expertise (EKS, Lambda, S3, EC2, API Gateway, RDS). Excellent problem solving and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of professional experience with Python.
• Proficient in pandas, polars, and numpy.
• Strong experience building APIs with FastAPI or similar frameworks.
• Hands on experience with task scheduling and background job management.
• Solid experience working with AWS services (EKS, Lambda, S3, EC2, API Gateway, RDS).
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
• A passion for learning and the ability to pick up new technologies quickly.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems and APIs using Python and FastAPI.
• Work with data centric libraries like pandas, polars, and numpy to build scalable data pipelines and services.
• Implement and manage asynchronous task scheduling using FastAPI schedulers or similar tools.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and mentor junior developers.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Work closely with data teams and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and best practices.
