Job summary

Smart IT Frame LLC in the United States seeks an experienced Python API Lead Developer to guide the design, development, security, and deployment of enterprise-grade REST APIs in an AWS cloud environment.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Python, FastAPI, cloud-native API architecture, and modern API security standards, with hands-on experience securing APIs using OAuth2, JWT, and mTLS, and deploying with API Gateway and related AWS services.

Qualifications

3-5+ years AWS cloud development and deployment experience.
Strong experience in Python, FastAPI, and REST API development.
Expertise in OAuth2, JWT, mTLS, and API security best practices.
Hands-on experience with AWS API Gateway, Lambda, S3, EKS, CloudWatch, ACM, and WAF.
Experience with OpenAPI/Swagger, Postman, and API testing tools.
Experience with Git and CI/CD practices.
Prior experience working in HIPAA-compliant environments.

Responsibilities

Design and develop high-performance REST APIs using Python and FastAPI.
Define and maintain API specifications using OpenAPI/Swagger.
Implement secure authentication and authorization using OAuth2, JWT, and mTLS.
Deploy, manage, and secure APIs using AWS API Gateway and related AWS services.
Configure and support AWS security components including ACM, Private CA, WAF, and Shield.
Perform API testing, validation, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Ensure compliance with healthcare security requirements, including HIPAA and secure handling of PHI.
Support CI/CD pipelines and source control best practices.
