Job summary

CGI Federal seeks a Senior API/Python Developer (TS/SCI with Poly) in Arlington, VA, with a hybrid work model. You will design, develop, and maintain Python applications and robust APIs, focusing on backend development, API integration, and potential cloud-based solutions.

Strong experience with Flask/Django and secure RESTful APIs is required. You will collaborate across teams, optimize performance, ensure security, and work with cloud services (AWS/Azure) and containerization

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and/or 8 to 10 years of relevant experience.
• TS/SCI with CI Poly security clearance required.
• Expert level Python and frameworks (Flask, Django).
• Strong understanding of API architectures (REST, GraphQL, SOAP).
• Experience with API tools (Postman, Swagger UI).
• Experience with Git version control.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python applications and APIs.
• Build secure RESTful APIs and microservices; integrate third-party APIs.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases for data storage and analysis.
• Collaborate with frontend, product, and QA teams to define requirements.
• Optimize performance and enforce security best practices in data handling and API auth.
• Possibly implement cloud integrations (AWS, Azure).
• Provide maintenance and enhancements for existing applications and APIs.
