Akina, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer 3 to design, develop, and integrate AI-enabled capabilities for vulnerability research and CNE. The role focuses on hands-on software engineering, AI integration, and reproducible research workflows.

The ideal candidate will work with researchers to develop backend services, REST APIs, and sandbox environments, mentor engineers, and contribute to technical direction while delivering robust, scalable software solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, implementing, testing, and delivering complex software features with strong architectural judgement.
• Proficiency in Python and building maintainable, tested software using modular design and OOP principles.
• Experience with AI-enabled vulnerability research and integrating AI into research workflows.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and maintain AI-enabled software and research tooling for CNE and VR workflows.
• Own the design and delivery of complex features and subsystems, including requirements refinement and deployment.
• Develop AI harnesses that orchestrate tools, manage execution state, collect evidence, and evaluate results.
• Build sandbox-based dynamic analysis capabilities to observe software, capture runtime behavior, and reproduce vulnerabilities.
• Integrate debugging, instrumentation, fuzzing, crash analysis, and related tools into workflows.
• Establish repeatable evaluations for finding validity, reproducibility, and usefulness of AI-assisted analysis.
• Develop backend services, APIs, and data pipelines with accessible research capabilities.
• Troubleshoot issues across code, AI integrations, tooling, and environments; mentor engineers and set technical direction.
