Job summary

DataMaxis is actively seeking an experienced, high-caliber Sr ETL Data Engineer to join our client team on a long-term remote contract basis. In this role, you will design, build, and optimize scalable ETL pipelines, cloud data warehouses, and big data processing frameworks using Azure, Informatica, Python, and PySpark.

You will collaborate with data architects, analysts, and BI teams to ensure high data quality, governance, and performance, mentoring junior engineers and driving modernization

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on software development and data engineering experience.
• Expert in ETL/ELT design and data warehousing methodologies.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure cloud data services and Informatica.
• Advanced Python and PySpark for distributed big data processing.
• Strong SQL performance tuning across SQL Server, Snowflake, or Azure Synapse.

Responsibilities

• Design, architect, develop, and maintain robust, scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines for enterprise data warehouses.
• Build and optimize distributed big data transformation scripts using PySpark and Python.
• Implement and administer cloud data integration solutions, storage accounts, and data factories on Microsoft Azure.
• Configure and maintain enterprise data integration workflows using Informatica PowerCenter/Cloud (IICS).
• Optimize data warehouse performance, tune SQL queries, and streamline data ingestion and egress processes.
• Troubleshoot complex ETL pipeline failures and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet reporting needs.
