Masimo Corporation is seeking a Sr Designer, Printed Wiring Board (PWB) in Irvine, CA to design, develop, and document complex PCB layouts for medical device technologies. This onsite role collaborates with Engineering to deliver manufacturable hardware from concept to production.

The position requires 5+ years in PCB/PWB design, experience with multilayer/high-density boards, and proficiency in PCB CAD tools. IPC/DFM knowledge and PLM experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ yrs PCB/PWB design in product development.
• Proficient with PCB CAD tools (PADS, Altium, Cadence Allegro).
• Experience designing multilayer, high-density, mixed-signal boards.
• Knowledge of IPC standards, PCB manufacturing, DFM.
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM).
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex multilayer PCB layouts for new products and sustaining engineering.
• Optimize designs for electrical performance, manufacturability, reliability, cost, and quality.
• Partner with engineering teams through design, validation, and production phases.
• Develop and maintain PCB design documentation, releases, and manufacturing deliverables.
• Support prototypes, design verification, ECRs, and production transfers.
• Apply DFM/DFT/DFA and IPC standards in product development.
• Drive continuous improvement via design reviews and supplier collaboration.
