Job summary

Digital Prospectors in Cambridge, MA is seeking an Electronic CAD Designer to develop moderate to highly complex printed wiring board layouts using inputs from schematic designers. This role supports new and modified high-density PWB designs and collaborates across engineering and manufacturing to deliver manufacturable layouts using Siemens/Mentor Xpedition Enterprise, AutoCAD, CAM350, and SolidWorks.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or certificate or equivalent knowledge.
• 10+ years of experience in PWB design or drafting.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with layout of printed wiring boards (PWBs).
• Implement moderate to highly complex PWB designs.
• Edit and enter constraints for designs.
• Interpret design requirements and apply industry practices.
• Demonstrate proficiency with design tools and processes.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to define fabrication criteria.
• Apply impedance control, differential pairs, and fine-pitch techniques.
