Rigetti Computing is seeking a Senior Process Engineer – Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) to own, optimize, and qualify production PVD modules for superconducting quantum processors. You will drive data‑driven improvements, lead root‑cause investigations, and mentor engineers while collaborating across materials, design, and quantum teams.

Qualifications

• Experience leading end‑to‑end process/equipment qualification.
• Strong data analysis and DOE capability.

Responsibilities

• Own the health and performance of PVD modules via SPC and data analysis.
• Develop, optimize, and qualify thin‑film deposition for superconducting components.
• Analyze metrology and electrical data to improve device performance.
• Lead root‑cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and equipment qualification with facilities.
• Document development activities and train technicians on new processes.
