NEI Electric Power Engineering, Inc. seeks an Electrical Engineer in the Solar Engineering group to perform design and analysis under a Professional Engineer supervision. You will coordinate with an integrated design team to meet schedules and budgets.

Responsibilities include PV power system design, modeling, equipment reviews, reports, field support, and ensuring codes and safety standards. Local Lakewood, CO in-office or full-time remote options are available, with overtime as needed.

Formación

• Education: Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology (electric power option preferred)
• Experience: 3–6+ years in relevant engineering or field experience
• Licensure: FE, PE is a plus, not required
• Knowledge: medium/low voltage distribution, switchgear, motor control centers, and industrial instrumentation and controls
• Experience with AutoCAD
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Responsabilidades

• Design PV electrical power systems including sizing, layouts, wiring, diagrams, and associated BOS/plant equipment details
• Perform power system studies (short circuit, load flow, relay coordination, arc flash, grounding, harmonics)
• Review equipment data sheets, manuals, and testing reports for design/approvals
• Prepare cost estimates, budget reports, and studies
• Provide field assistance and observation reports
• Verify work of Designers, Drafters, and Field Service Personnel
• Maintain awareness of codes/standards and construction practices
• Maintain strong client relationships and effective communication
• Occasionally work overtime to meet project deadlines
• Attend conferences/training as needed for advancement and quality
• Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies
• Other duties as assigned
