Wilson & Company is seeking a Senior Pursuit Specialist to lead the firm's pursuit process, developing proposals, presentations, and campaigns to win work, including complex Alternative Delivery pursuits.

You will own multi-disciplined teams, guide strategy from opportunity identification through submission and award, and mentor staff in a dynamic, collaborative environment committed to quality and client service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 15+ years of relevant experience if without a degree.
• 10+ years of experience in a technical/marketing environment.
• Strong understanding of the A&E market and client needs.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in English.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign/Photoshop/Illustrator) for proposals.
• Ability to write, edit, and proofread moderately complex materials and apply brand guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead proposal development and presentation, including Alternative Delivery pursuits.
• Coordinate integrated pursuit teams and develop compliant responses.
• Develop and execute capture strategies for major projects.
• Implement client account management plans and prioritize key clients.

Position Overview

Wilson & Company is seeking a Senior Pursuit Specialist to support our disciplined and intentional focus on winning work. This position manages all phases of the company’s pursuit process and leads the creation of quality proposals, presentations, and other pursuit materials. You will own and lead multi‑disciplined teams in developing and executing winning strategies from opportunity identification through proposal submission and award, including complex Alternative Delivery pursuits.

Key Responsibilities

Following Wilson & Company’s pursuit development process, using a consistent set of pursuit tools, and applying best‑practice ISBP principles, take full ownership and leadership of pursuit team efforts to develop proposals, presentations, and supporting materials and campaigns; facilitate strategy discussions; and deliver compliant, clear, and compelling pursuits.

• Proposal development and presentation: develop comprehensive pursuit strategies aligned with the firm’s goals and objectives, including complex Alternative Delivery pursuits such as Design‑Build, Progressive Design‑Build, CM/GC, and other collaborative delivery models.
• Alternative Delivery pursuit leadership: lead and support Alternative Delivery pursuits by coordinating integrated pursuit teams, aligning technical and construction strategies, and developing compliant, compelling responses to best‑value procurements.
• Strategic pursuit leadership: lead the development and execution of capture strategies for major projects, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment and success in strategic pursuits.
• Client account management program implementation: participate and/or facilitate developing client interaction plans and client account management plans to prioritize, focus, and apply appropriate effort to identified clients.
• Team leadership and development: mentor and guide the capture and client account management teams, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and excellence.
• Reporting and analysis: monitor and report on the performance of strategic pursuits and client accounts, using key performance indicators to refine strategies and improve outcomes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or a related major, or 15+ years of relevant experience if without a degree. Demonstrated success in leading large‑scale pursuits and winning significant projects, with a complete understanding of the pursuit lifecycle and the A&E market.

• 10 years of experience within the firm or a similar technical/marketing environment, or 15 years without a degree.
• Strong understanding of the A&E market, trends, and client needs.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with a strong command of the English language.
• Ability to think strategically, solve problems, and collaboratively lead cross‑functional teams.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) for proposal preparation.
• Ability to write, edit, and proofread moderately complex materials and apply standard brand guidelines.

Compensation

Annual salary range: $66,000 – $80,000 (depending on experience).
