Job summary

Ally is seeking a Principal of Cyber Security to join the Information Protection and Risk Management team. The role focuses on developing and implementing a comprehensive security risk management approach, providing technical guidance, and aligning IT with business objectives.

It is a mid-to-senior level, highly technical position. The role requires strong technical background, collaboration with IT and business management, and ability to lead security initiatives across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of cybersecurity experience.
• 5+ years in offensive security or red teaming.
• Proficient with enterprise-grade BAS solutions.
• Experience with MITRE ATT&CK Navigator, Atomic Red Team, and various SIEM products.
• Excellent communication, able to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Director of Security Operations to align security programs with business needs.
• Analyze threat landscape and provide risk overview to leadership.
• Identify gaps and develop action plans with minimal management input.
• Monitor compliance with security policies and enforce standards.
• Propose changes to policies for efficiency and regulatory compliance.
• Assist in audit responses and remediation efforts.
• Provide security awareness and training across audiences.
• Coordinate with vendors and legal/purchasing for contracts and SLAs.
• Manage production issues and participate in change management.
