Job summary

Sanofi US in Waltham, MA is seeking a Senior Associate – Purification Process Development to drive downstream purification for viral vector programs. You will develop, optimize and scale purification steps for AAV and non-viral vectors, collaborating with bioprocess and analytical teams.

The role requires hands-on lab work, data analysis and technology transfer readiness, with opportunities to publish findings and contribute to manufacturing scale-up in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of purification technologies and operations such as depth filtration, AKTA, TFF, UF/DF and virus clearance.
• Understanding of chromatography principles and separation methods.
• Technical report writing skills.
• Ability to learn viral vector analyses using new tools.
• Good laboratory practices (GLP) and detailed notebook documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and conduct viral vector purification experiments and evaluate new technologies to increase yield.
• Maintain knowledge of downstream purification and chromatography techniques.
• Publish findings internally and externally as appropriate; speak at industry events.
• Lead study design, optimize purification conditions, screen media, troubleshoot and share results.
• Analyze data, contribute to reports and presentations.
• Support scale-up to implement manufacturing process based on DSP.
• Coordinate with CDMOs for tech transfer.
• Contribute to manuscript and patent writing.
• Show self-motivation and sound technical judgement.
• Foster collaboration among colleagues.
