Job summary

Lenco Armored Vehicles, a U.S.-based manufacturer, is seeking a senior purchasing professional to lead strategic sourcing and supplier management in a fast-paced environment.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will drive contract negotiations, supplier development, and procurement process support while guiding Purchasing Representatives and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure a resilient supply base for vehicle production.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain in manufacturing
• Proven ability to evaluate supplier capabilities and manage vendor performance scorecards
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems and procurement workflows
• Advanced Excel and analytics tooling for tracking supply chain metrics
• Understanding of inventory control, MRP, and lean principles
• Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and qualify alternate suppliers
• Support contract negotiations covering pricing, terms, stocking, and cost targets
• Establish supplier scorecards for quality, delivery, and responsiveness
• Provide day-to-day guidance to Purchasing Representatives
• Act as primary escalation point for sourcing challenges and stockouts
• Monitor past-due purchase orders and align with production schedules
• Participate in ERP improvements and inventory optimization
