Job summary

Sonova is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead purchasing operations across multiple product categories in a cross-functional environment. You will coach a team of professionals, ensure ERP and MRP discipline, and drive continuous improvement to secure material availability.

You will manage supplier relationships, review scorecards, and support negotiation strategies to achieve cost reductions and favorable cash flow while maintaining compliance and inventory optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a relevant field.
• 7+ years of procurement or supply chain experience in a cross-functional environment.
• Experience leading purchasing or procurement professionals and driving accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of purchasing professionals while managing workloads, training, performance metrics, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure SAP MRP, reorder point, and Kanban purchasing messages are acted on in a timely manner based on manufacturing and project requirements.
• Drive material availability by monitoring supplier delivery, capacity, forecasts, inventory levels, shortages, and issues impacting the Master Production Schedule.
• Manage relationships with approved suppliers, review supplier scorecards, oversee change notifications, and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.
• Provide rolling 12–24 month forecasts to key suppliers and communicate significant changes, risks, and capacity needs.
• Develop and implement plans to achieve cost-reduction and cash-flow goals while supporting negotiation strategies and major supplier agreements.
