AT3 Professional Staffing Solutions, Inc. is partnering with a well-established aerospace manufacturer in the South Burlington, VT area to appoint an experienced Purchasing Manager.

You will drive procurement and strategic sourcing, lead a purchasing team, and collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Quality to ensure material availability and supplier performance. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in purchasing leadership, strong supplier negotiations, and a track record of continuous

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Five+ years in purchasing/procurement or supply chain leadership in manufacturing.
• Proven experience negotiating supplier contracts and commercial agreements.
• Strong background developing supplier relationships and improving performance.
• Excellent communication, leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience in aerospace AS9100 environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies that improve cost, quality, delivery performance and supplier reliability.
• Lead supplier negotiations for pricing, contracts, and long-term commercial agreements.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships with performance metrics and corrective actions.
• Partner with Operations, Planning, Engineering, and Quality to ensure material availability and mitigate supply risks.
• Monitor purchasing activity and inventories to balance production and demand.
• Support new product introductions, supplier qualifications and dual-source initiatives.
• Lead, develop and mentor the purchasing team and drive continuous improvement.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve procurement processes.
