Bass Pro Shops is seeking a Purchasing Manager for WRMG in Springfield, MO to lead direct materials procurement across boat and related product lines. You will manage a team of purchasing agents and drive supplier performance, inventory optimization, and continuous improvements to support production schedules.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Sourcing, Scheduling, Engineering, Finance, and Logistics to mitigate supply risks and optimize material availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.
• 10 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain preferred.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
• Experience with cross-functional collaboration across manufacturing, sourcing, scheduling, engineering, finance, and logistics.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop purchasing agents to meet company objectives.
• Ensure uninterrupted material flow to support production while minimizing inventory.
• Escalate shortages and supplier issues with cross-functional teams.
• Use MRP to manage purchasing requirements, forecast, inventory, and deliveries.
• Prepare and present purchasing performance metrics and supply risk assessments.
