Job summary

Champion Home Builders, Inc is seeking a Full-Time Purchasing Manager to lead purchasing and materials distribution in Decatur, IN. You will coordinate procurement, issue POs, manage inventory, and work with Navision ERP to ensure accuracy and timely deliveries.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years in material management, strong Excel/Word skills, and a solid understanding of forecasting and budgeting within a supply chain. A Bachelor's degree is required and equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10 years in material management, including purchasing, inventory control, production planning, and shipping/receiving.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Understanding of supply chain and inventory management systems.
• Experience with forecasting and budgeting.
• Able to meet deadlines, multitask, and work under pressure.
• Prior ERP experience; Navision knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct purchasing and distribution activities for the plant, personally or via supervisors.
• Plan, organize, direct, and control procurement and inventory processes.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders and change notices based on inventory needs.
• Review contracts and vendor agreements for compliance and price.
• Interface with corporate purchasing on supplier issues and product changes.
• Ensure Finance Policy compliance and coordinate with the Controller.
