Job summary

Airoom Companies, LLC is seeking a Director of Purchasing to lead estimating, purchasing, vendor management, and preconstruction operations for residential design/build projects. The role includes protecting margins, optimizing vendor partnerships, and delivering fully estimated and purchased projects to Production.

The Director will train staff, manage cross-department communication, and collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to prevent delays, ensuring high client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Five years of management experience in hiring, training and staffing within a service organization.
• Experience in vendor management, pricing and discount structures, and negotiations.
• Experience with estimating and purchasing software and CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Issue purchase orders and work orders; manage field change orders.
• Negotiate and manage vendor and subcontractor agreements.
• Maintain purchasing data and takeoffs; ensure accurate project costing by phase.
• Produce weekly production and project reports; monitor budget vs. actuals.
• Oversee cost estimation activities and ensure alignment with financial objectives.
• Coordinate with Sales, Architecture, Project Managers and Operations to resolve pricing and production issues.
