Job summary

Lombardo Homes in Columbia, MO is seeking a Purchaser/Estimator to manage the purchasing for single family and multifamily projects, ensuring materials and labor are procured at the best price, delivered on time, and meet quality standards.

The role requires negotiating with trade partners, procuring materials/labor, conducting cost studies, coordinating with accounting, and supporting project managers to meet purchasing needs; relocation from STL market considered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in residential construction purchasing or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, construction management, or related field preferred.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Experience in construction industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with trade partners, negotiate pricing and contracts.
• Procure materials and labor for residential projects, manage inventory.
• Conduct cost engineering studies to identify cost savings and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with accounting and operations to ensure records are up-to-date.
• Perform house plan takeoffs and estimates using internal systems.
• Work with project managers and partners to meet purchasing requirements.
• Stay informed on industry trends to improve purchasing strategies and practices.
