Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Florida for their Lunar Permanence business unit. The role involves performing fluid and thermal analysis on Lunar vehicle pump components, offering expert guidance on pump design, and leading a small team focused on fluid analysis.

The ideal candidate has a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and at least 5 years of relevant experience. They will contribute to the design of sustainable infrastructure for lunar operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in thermal and/or fluids analysis and mechanical component design.
• 5+ years experience with classical hand calculations for thermal and/or fluids analysis.
• 3+ years of experience with Ansys CFX, Ansys Fluent, or other CFD analysis software.
• 2+ years of experience with FloCAD or other thermal analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Perform fluid and thermal analysis on Lunar vehicle pump components.
• Provide design recommendations to responsible engineers.
• Generate and run secondary flow analysis models.
• Optimize and co-develop pump designs for efficiency and reliability.
