Job summary

Sulzer is a leading engineering company with a proud heritage of innovation. Sulzer is seeking a Pump Repair Technician in Pasadena, CA to repair and maintain pumping equipment under limited supervision, following OEM and industry specifications.

You will assemble, disassemble, measure, balance, and test equipment, travel to customer sites as needed, and support Lean and safety initiatives. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of pump repair experience.
• Ability to travel to customer sites when required.
• Ability to work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Assembles pumping equipment to customer, OEM and industry specifications.
• Disassembles equipment to access components for inspection.
• Removes, cleans, and prepares components for inspection.
• Inspects and records measurements of parts using measuring instruments and gauges.
• Prepares equipment inspection reports.
• Investigates root cause failure and recommends repair methods.
• Determines materials needed for repairs per BOM.
• Contours impellers and pump casings to hydraulic requirements.
