Job summary

Springer Nature is seeking a Senior Publisher to manage and strategically develop a portfolio of Computer Science journals in a hybrid New York office. You will lead journal growth, collaborate with Editors-in-Chief and Editorial Boards, and drive portfolio strategies using data and market insights.

The role requires experience in scholarly publishing, OA models, and strong stakeholder management. Travel domestically and internationally may be required as part of portfolio development.

Qualifications

• Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience managing or developing scholarly journals.
• Understanding of hybrid and fully open access models.
• Experience working with Editors-in-Chief and Editorial Boards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic development, growth and positioning of a portfolio of Computer Science journals.
• Develop and implement journal development plans using data and market insights.
• Launch new journals and reposition/rebrand existing titles.
• Build and maintain relationships with Editors-in-Chief and Editorial Boards.
• Monitor KPIs and translate insights into action.
