AIP Publishing in the United States invites an Associate Publisher or Publisher to shape the strategic direction and growth of a prestigious portfolio of academic journals. You will partner with editors and internal teams to drive editorial quality, community engagement, and operational efficiency, while advancing open science and research integrity.

This senior, remote-capable role offers a broad impact across journals, with opportunities to mentor colleagues and influence product development

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in scholarly publishing with portfolio management.
• Experience engaging with researchers, editors, and academic communities.
• Familiarity with physical sciences; graduate degree a plus.
• Strong data literacy using Excel and PowerBI; CRM experience a bonus.
• Willingness to travel to conferences and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Own strategy development and execution for assigned journals.
• Monitor industry trends and conduct competitive analysis.
• Guide editorial content strategy with Editors.
• Drive engagement with authors, reviewers, editors.
• Manage editorial boards lifecycles; recruitment to renewals.
• Analyze journal performance data and implement data-driven reporting.
• Mentor junior team members and share knowledge.
• Support editorial best practices and cross-functional initiatives.
