Job summary

Ardurra is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector to join our Public Works Inspection Group in Los Angeles and Newport Beach, CA. The role focuses on field inspections, regulatory compliance, and coordination of third-party testing across varied infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; civil engineering coursework preferred.
• 15+ years in construction field or construction management/field services.
• Ability to interpret technical specs, contract requirements, drawings, and standard details.
• Experience with permit and capital project inspections on parks, road rehab, utilities, and facilities.
• Knowledge of traffic control, AC and concrete roads, sidewalks, underground utilities.
• CP II / QSP certifications preferred; Cal/OSHA and SWPPP familiarity.
• Valid CA driver’s license; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Client’s interests at all times.
• Assist with field public relations.
• Monitor compliance with contract, specs, traffic plans, NPDES, OSHA/Safety Plan.
• Coordinate 3rd party inspections & materials testing; resolve issues.
• Interview contractor/subcontractor employees for wage verification.
• Assist construction managers in monitoring schedule adherence.
• Be present on site during construction and inspections.
• Prepare daily inspection reports and verify pay item quantities.
• Develop punch lists and monitor completion.
• Support multiple projects concurrently.
