Job summary

The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized Product Manager to develop and implement data management policies and to coordinate deployment of IT systems across divisions. You'll work with the Department of Innovation and Technology to ensure feature and scope alignment, data quality, and system usability.

Ideal candidates bring strong IT product management background, leadership, and the ability to translate policy requirements into technical specifications.

Qualifications

• Requires four years of college, preferably with courses in business or public administration.
• Requires four years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization.
• 4 years of professional experience overseeing IT product management activities in a public or business organization (preferred).
• 4 years of professional experience in development and implementation of policies and procedures (preferred).
• 4 years of professional experience conducting program planning activities (preferred).
• 4 years of professional experience developing strategies to improve program services and use of technology (preferred).
• 4 years of experience supervising professional staff in a public or business organization (preferred).
• 4 years of experience serving in a liaison capacity for a public or business organization (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Serves as Product Manager.
• Serves as scope and feature lead on systems development impacting division functioning.
• Provides oversight of division system data quality, usage, and security.
• Serves as full line supervisor.
• Collaborates with DoIT Data Management to develop BI processes to increase productivity and decision making.
• Plans and provides special studies on policy requirements and demographic changes.
