Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Security Compliance Engineer, Public Sector in the United States. You will lead GRC programs, coordinate with auditors, and drive certification efforts for government-focused cloud offerings.

The role combines governance, risk, and compliance with automation and cross‑functional collaboration to strengthen regulatory readiness and trust with customers and regulators.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and residency with eligible status.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Cybersecurity or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years in GRC, cybersecurity, or related field, preferably in regulated industries.
• Certifications such as FedRAMP, CMMC, SOC 2, IRAP, or ISO 27001 are desirable.
• Experience automating GRC/testing and policy-as-code workflows.
• Working knowledge of FedRAMP and cloud providers (AWS, GCP).

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage GRC strategies and processes for regulatory and industry standards.
• Partner with regulated customers to understand compliance needs and craft solutions.
• Lead security assessments, audits, certification activities, and evidence gathering.
• Support FedRAMP continuous monitoring, evidence, controls, and documentation.
• Collaborate with IT, Product, Engineering, Security, Legal, and other teams to embed compliance.
• Create and maintain security and compliance documentation and evidence.
• Automate GRC workflows and control testing using scripting or code.
• Monitor regulatory developments and identify gaps to strengthen the program.
• Provide training and guidance on GRC, security, and regulatory requirements.
• Advise senior leaders on security compliance strategies and priorities.
• Mature compliance capabilities across cloud and self-managed environments.
