Job summary

CLMI Group is seeking a Cost Control II to support public works projects in Los Angeles County. The role focuses on cost accounting, budgeting, and implementing a rebate program to support rebuild efforts.

Ideal candidates have extensive public sector cost accounting experience, CPA/CGFM preferred, and strong Excel skills, with the ability to collaborate with managers, auditors, and partner agencies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of cost accounting or public program financial management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Ability to track and reconcile project costs, budgets, encumbrances and expenditures across multiple projects and funding sources.
• Experience developing and implementing rebate, reimbursement, grant, or incentive programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide project cost accounting and support rebate program design and administration.
• Prepare clear financial reports, dashboards, and briefing materials for management and oversight.
• Coordinate with project managers, auditors, and partner agencies.
