Job summary

LastPass is seeking a Senior Public Relations Manager to lead how the company appears in the press and across the security conversation. You will run media relations, launch communications, and issues preparedness to support LastPass’s mission of secure access for businesses and individuals.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading communications or public relations programs in B2B software, ideally cybersecurity or adjacent technical categories.
  • Proven track record earning media coverage based on story strength and press relationships.
  • Experience managing an external PR agency with measurable outcomes.
  • Background in crisis and issues communications within security-sensitive or regulated environments.
  • Strong writing and editing ability, able to draft when it matters.
  • Recognized as a trusted communications counselor who stays calm under pressure.
  • Recognized as a rigorous operator who defends impact with data.
  • Experience with company repositioning or category creation (not required).
  • Familiarity with identity, access management, or AI governance markets.
  • Experience supporting creator, influencer, or community programs with technical audiences.

About the team

The Communications team sits within the Marketing organization and owns how LastPass shows up in the press, with industry audiences, and across the broader security conversation. The team manages an external PR agency, drives launch and event moments, and builds the earned media and executive visibility that support the company's growth and reputation.

Who will you work with?

You will report to the Head of Marketing while partnering closely with the senior leadership team, product, security, and legal. Within marketing, you will work day to day with brand, product marketing, demand generation, and web growth, and you will manage an external PR agency that operates as an extension of the team.

What does it take to work at LastPass?
  • Proven experience leading communications or public relations programs in B2B software, ideally in cybersecurity or adjacent technical categories
  • Proven track record earning media coverage on the strength of the story, with established press relationships
  • Proven experience managing an external PR agency to measurable outcomes
  • Background in crisis and issues communications within a security-sensitive or regulated environment
  • Strong writing and editing ability, able to produce the first draft when it matters
  • Recognized internally as a trusted communications counselor who stays calm and clear when stakes are high
  • Recognized internally as a rigorous operator who defends the function's impact with data rather than adjectives
  • Experience communicating through a company repositioning or category creation effort (not required)
  • Familiarity with identity, access management, or AI governance markets
  • Experience supporting creator, influencer, or community programs with technical audiences
Compensation

US Pay Range $131,200 - $160,000 USD
