CoreSite is seeking a Director, Public Policy and Community Relations to define and lead our public policy strategy across U.S. markets.

You will collaborate with Marketing, Legal, and Corporate Development to shape engagement programs, and work with local leaders to foster a favorable policy environment for data center growth. The role requires government relations experience, strong communication, and a track record with policy, tax incentives, energy, and sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in government relations, economic development, or community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Marketing, Legal, and Corporate Development leaders to build out the Public Policy and Community Engagement function.
• Collaborate with parent company Public Affairs Team for alignment and best practices.
• Direct and support local regulatory and community engagement plans to drive business objectives.
• Research and track policy issues across the U.S. and determine strategies, priorities, and risks.
• Develop strategies to engage with state and local governments on policy objectives.
• Lead cross-functional teams on local issues, including pre-development processes and tax incentives.
• Develop and direct communication strategies with community leaders in CoreSite markets.
• Manage contract lobbyists, association memberships, and coalitions.
• Research industry trends to inform messaging for cross-functional teams.
• Analyze performance and report to marketing and leaders.
• Promote CoreSite's culture and values.
