Job summary

CoreSite, a leading colocation data center company, seeks a Director of Public Policy and Community Relations (East) to define and lead local policy strategies, and to plan strategic communications with autonomy while collaborating with cross-functional experts.

You will build advocacy programs, engage with state and local governments, manage lobbyists, monitor policy trends, and align activities with CoreSite's growth across the U.S., enhancing community relations and responsible development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 7–10 years in government relations, economic development, or community engagement.
• Experience with data centers, AI, tax policy, energy and sustainability.
• Experience handling contract lobbyists or being an in-house lobbyist is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement local policy strategies and advocacy plans.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Legal, and Corporate Development to align policy activities.
• Engage with state and local governments to advance CoreSite's public policy interests.
• Identify policy trends and communicate insights to cross-functional teams.
• Lead and coordinate with internal teams on local issues, incentives, and permits.
