Job summary

The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional Product Manager to develop and oversee data and systems policies and to lead scope and features for enterprise applications. This role works with the Department of Innovation and Technology to deploy hardware/software and coordinate system features to support division operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong IT product management experience, leadership skills, and the ability to drive data

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, preferably with courses in business or public administration.
• Requires four years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization

Responsibilities

• Serves as Product Manager for the Office of the Guardian
• Serves as scope and feature lead on systems development impacting Office of the Guardian functioning
• Provides oversight of Office of the Guardian system data quality, usage, and security
• Serves as full line supervisor
• Collaborates with Department data stewards and DoIT Data Management to develop BI processes to increase productivity, improve decision making processes, and improve the accuracy of data
• Plans, develops, and provides special one-time studies regarding the impact of policy requirements, administrative decisions, and demographic changes
• Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above
