Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Public Health Informatics Lead in Charlotte, NC to provide strategic and technical leadership for interoperability initiatives. You will guide standards implementation and modernize public health data exchange, collaborating with epidemiology, analytics, and data engineering teams.

Lead onboarding, testing, certification, and governance activities while shaping implementation guides and best practices for HL7, FHIR, CDA, LOINC, and USCDI compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health Informatics or related field; Master's preferred.
• 8+ years in public health informatics, interoperability or health data exchange.
• Experience as lead informaticist or interoperability lead.
• Knowledge of HL7 v2, ELR, eCR, CDA, FHIR, and API-based patterns.
• Ability to translate policy and requirements into technical specs.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and technical leadership for public health interoperability initiatives.
• Lead design and implementation of standards-based data exchange architectures.
• Define interoperability strategies using HL7 v2, CDA, FHIR, APIs.
• Oversee requirements, validation, testing, and production onboarding.
• Mentor informaticists and guide governance, documentation, and roadmaps.
