Job summary

Southwest District Health (SWDH) in Caldwell, ID, is recruiting for a Registered Dietitian, Senior to join the WIC Nutrition Program. Position may be part-time or full-time, with 24-40 hours weekly and hybrid options across Caldwell, Payette, Emmett, and Treasure Valley.

This public health role offers a competitive benefits package, a 401(a) retirement plan, and retention bonuses of $1,250 at six and twelve months. Candidates must be RD and Idaho-licensure eligible.

Qualifications

• Must be certified as a Registered Dietitian by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and eligible for Idaho licensure.
• 2–4 years of experience in food service management and program planning/evaluation.
• Experience in public health nutrition; ability to read English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nutrition and health assessments in clinic settings.
• Develop individualized care plans and referrals.
• Determine eligibility and prescribe WIC benefits for high-risk participants.
• Collaborate with healthcare partners and community agencies.
• Manage WIC benefit issuance and client services.
• Lead staff training and develop educational materials.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and needs assessments.
• Coordinate outreach and deliver community presentations.
• Lead daily tasks for support staff.
• Support professional development within the team.
