Goodwin Recruiting seeks a Senior Public Accountant for an in-office role in Michigan. The position emphasizes client accounting services such as financial reporting, reconciliations, and advisory support rather than tax preparation.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in public accounting, strong GAAP knowledge, and excellent communication skills to collaborate with multiple clients and staff across engagements.

Formación

• At least 5 years of experience in public accounting or client-focused bookkeeping.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field (required).
• Experience mentoring and reviewing work of staff.

Responsabilidades

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations for multiple clients, including AR, AP, and general ledger.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger entries to ensure accurate financial records.
• Assist clients with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
• Provide proactive financial support and respond to client inquiries professionally.
• Participate in month-end and year-end close processes.
• Support process improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver consistent, high-quality service.
• Prepare and review business tax returns.
