Job summary

University of Georgia is seeking a Coordinator of Embedded Campus Programs/Psychologist to lead embedded mental health services within Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS). The role focuses on direct clinical care, program development, and supervision of trainees and staff across multiple campus units.

The position drives access to care, supports student mental health and academic success, and collaborates with university stakeholders to implement preventive and intervention initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in clinical or counseling psychology required.
  • 5 years of professional experience and valid state licensure are required.
  • Advanced knowledge of counseling psychology theory and practice beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Provide independent, evidence-based psychological services, including assessment, diagnosis, and crisis intervention for students.
  • Serve as a senior clinical authority for complex cases and provide consultation to CAPS leadership and campus partners.
  • Lead clinical decision-making in high-risk situations with ethical and regulatory compliance.
  • Design and evaluate outreach, prevention, and early-intervention initiatives aligned with unit goals.
  • Act as a clinical representative for CAPS in campus initiatives, committees, and task forces.
  • Elevate campus mental health practices by policy development and systems-level improvements.
  • Supervise licensed clinicians and embedded providers; mentor doctoral interns and fellows.
