Job summary

Florida Atlantic University’s Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine seeks a Psychiatry Residency Program Director to provide visionary leadership, strategic direction, and administrative oversight for an ACGME-accredited training program in Psychiatry.

The PD will ensure compliance with ACGME requirements, foster resident development, and advance scholarly activity across multiple clinical sites in collaboration with department leadership and GME leadership. Salary commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership in graduate medical education and residency programs.
• Ability to design and implement competency-based curricula.
• Experience with ACGME accreditation and program evaluation.
• Excellent collaboration with faculty, residents, and administration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all operations of the psychiatry residency program per ACGME requirements.
• Design and implement a competency-based curriculum with high-quality education across sites.
• Direct resident recruitment, evaluation, and Milestones reporting; provide mentorship.
• Recruit, mentor, and evaluate program faculty; promote professionalism and collaboration.
• Foster scholarly activity through resident and faculty research, quality improvement, and education.
• Maintain an active clinical psychiatry practice and role-model compassionate care.
