Job summary

The Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) in Richmond, TX is seeking a Psychiatrist III to join the Physician Services team at the Richmond State Supported Living Center. The role requires providing advanced psychiatric assessment, treatment planning, and leadership within the interdisciplinary team, with focus on residents who are medically fragile or have behavioral needs.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed (unrestricted) as a medical doctor by the State of Texas.
• Board Certified or Board eligible in Psychiatry in Texas.
• Current unrestricted DEA registration.
• Must possess a National Provider Identifier (NPI) and enroll as a Medicaid/Medicare Part B provider.
• Residency trained and preferred.
• Minimum of three years of experience working as a psychiatrist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced psychiatric assessments and treatments following IDT guidance.
• Develop and implement individualized psychiatric treatment plans.
• Lead and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and reviews.
• Monitor system data and ensure quality care and compliance with regulations.
• May supervise staff within the psychiatric department as organizationally appropriate.
