California Department of State Hospitals – Napa is seeking a Senior Psychiatric Technician (Safety) for Program 2 in Napa County. Position is full-time, permanent, in-office with a focus on safety and patient care within a high-acuity psychiatric setting.
The role requires strong nursing process skills, rapid analysis of behavioral and medical emergencies, and collaboration with the treatment team, Unit Supervisors and clinics to meet patient needs.

Program 2 has an open position for Senior Psychiatric Technician full time permanent position. Candidates should have a strong understanding of the nursing process and the ability to quickly analyze and respond to both behavioral and medical emergencies. Must also be able to effectively communicate with treatment team members, Unit Supervisor, clinics and other departments to meet the needs of the patients.

Effective July 1, 2025, the State of California implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) which reduces an employee's monthly salary in exchange for leave credits.
