Job summary

Butte County seeks an experienced Psychiatric Nursing Supervisor to plan, organize, and direct daily nursing activities across inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services. You will collaborate with medical staff to evaluate and prepare treatment plans and ensure high-quality patient care on assigned shifts.

The role requires supervising professional and technical staff, organizing day-to-day nursing and psychiatric services, and maintaining documentation and compliance with privacy and safety

Qualifications

• BSN preferred as stated in job description.
• CA RN license required or eligible for CA licensure.
• Experience supervising nursing and clinical staff in behavioral health settings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day treatment and operations on assigned shift.
• Assess and report patient condition to physicians on admission.
• Authorize nursing notes, medication orders, and chart accuracy.
• Direct staff and interdisciplinary teams in patient care delivery.
• Conduct crisis intervention and manage assaultive behavior.
• Coordinate case conferences and treatment plan development.
• Ensure compliance with behavioral health policies and privacy laws.
