Houston Methodist is seeking a Senior Staff Registered Nurse to function as an advanced clinician at the Proficient level. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited school of Nursing, or Associate’s degree from an accredited school of Nursing with an additional two years of nursing experience
• RN licensure in Texas and must obtain permanent Texas license within 60 days if establishing residency; BLS certification required
• Three years of nursing experience, with one year in specialty preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead department clinical activities and serve as a clinical resource for staff
• Provide professional direct patient nursing care to a diverse patient population
• Coach and mentor department staff in clinical and professional practice
• Collaborate with physicians and the interprofessional health care team to coordinate care
