Job summary
Tata Consultancy Services seeks a senior migration architect to lead the VMware-to-Proxmox transition in enterprise data centers across the United States. You will design, assess, and implement Proxmox clusters, Ceph storage, and networking with VLANs, bonding, and firewalls while ensuring minimal downtime.
The role requires deep virtualization, disaster recovery design, automation (Bash, Python, Ansible, Terraform), and experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift and public clouds to deliver scalable,
Qualifications
- Assess VMware infra including ESXi, vCenter, clusters, storage and networking.
- Design target-state Proxmox architecture with HA and scalability.
- Define migration automation and tooling strategies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed assessment of VMware infra and workload dependencies.
- Design enterprise-grade Proxmox clusters with Ceph storage and networking.
- Develop migration roadmap, wave plans, cutover schedules and rollback procedures.
- Lead pilot migrations and oversee production migration waves.
- Validate migrated workloads for performance, security and compliance.
