Job summary

Optum, part of UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Senior Provider Data Specialist to maintain and improve the provider network database across the U.S. footprint.

This full-time role involves data extraction, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure data quality and regulatory compliance. You will work from a remote location with flexible hours within our normal business window and access a suite of data tools including Excel, FACETS, IDX, and ServiceNow.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of data entry experience.
• Intermediate Excel proficiency and data handling skills.
• Ability to follow procedures with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the provider network database for data accuracy.
• Perform data extraction and reporting for analyses.
• Develop standards for database integrity and quality assurance.
• Coordinate corrective activities to clean the database and retain users.
• Manage communications with other departments on database improvements.
• Perform audits to improve processes and reduce errors.
• Utilize various database tools to enter and research provider data.
• Support data loading and formatting for automated systems.
