Are you an experienced electrical technician with a passion for hands-on prototyping and RV innovation? We’re hiring a Senior Prototyping Electrical RV Technician to support the development of cutting-edge electrical systems for recreational vehicles. This is a contract opportunity based in Detroit, MI with on-the-job training, PTO, and growth potential.

Employment Type: Contract

Pay Rate: $23-$28 (based on experience)

What You’ll Do

  • Support prototype fabrication and shop work for RV electrical systems
  • Collaborate with engineers and production teams to test, wire, and assemble components
  • Interpret and apply electrical schematics and shop drawings
  • Assist in rapid iteration and troubleshooting of builds in a fast-paced environment
  • Work extended hours and weekends as necessary during build cycles

Requirements

  • Willingness to relocate to Detroit (if not already local)
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of combined experience in prototype fabrication and/or shop-based work
  • Comfortable lifting up to 45 lbs unassisted
  • Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Trade school certification or Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong engineering drawing interpretation and creation skills
  • Experience with prototyping and rapid iteration
  • Excellent communication and team leadership ability
  • Exposure to diverse manufacturing equipment and methods
  • Adaptability in high-pressure, shifting role environments
