Job summary

Anduril Industries in the United States is seeking a Senior Development Fabrication Technician to take prototype hardware from drawing to finished assembly. You will plan the build, select fabrication methods, lay out components, weld and machine, design fixtures, inspect work, and solve problems as they arise.

Qualifications

• 6+ years hands-on fabrication, welding or metalworking experience.
• Prototype/R&D, aerospace, motorsports or low-volume manufacturing experience.
• Advanced GMAW/MIG, FCAW, and GTAW/TIG welding experience.
• Fabrication of steel, stainless steel, and aluminum assemblies.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings including GD&T and weld symbols.
• Plan, execute, and manage fabrication from raw material to finished assembly.
• Ability to hold tight tolerances with shop equipment.

Responsibilities

• Own prototype builds from start to finish.
• Determine build sequence, tooling, fixturing and material prep.
• Fabricate assemblies using welding, cutting, drilling, forming and machining.
• Design weld fixtures and tooling to maintain alignment and tolerances.
• Identify and resolve manufacturing issues before integration.
• Collaborate with design engineers to resolve unclear drawings.
• Mentor fellow fabricators and share best practices.
