Zealand Pharma is seeking a Scientist or Senior Scientist in Protein Purification and Analysis in Cambridge, MA to lead high‑quality purification of protein therapeutics and bioconjugates. You will work hands‑on across SEC, IEX, affinity, RP‑HPLC and CE methods with complementary analytics.

You bring deep purification expertise, strong collaboration skills, and a PhD in analytical chemistry, protein engineering, or biochemistry, or equivalent industry experience.

Qualifications

• PhD preferred ( Analytical Chemistry / Protein Engineering / Biochemistry ) or BS/MS with relevant industry experience.
• 2+ years post‑degree experience in protein purification; 4+ years for Senior Scientist.
• Hands‑on purification of proteins/bioconjugates; ADCs/AOCs preferred.
• Experience with AKTA systems and analytical characterization workflows.
• Ability to communicate data and work across cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Purify proteins and bioconjugates to support discovery programs from early research through lead selection.
• Operate a broad range of purification techniques at analytical and preparative scales.
• Support analytical characterization using MS, biophysics, and flow methods.
• Contribute to development of automated/high‑throughput purification workflows.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within the Cambridge research center.
